The Healthcare Campaign Survey Series

FAQs

  • This is a data-centered initiative designed to equip healthcare development leaders with critical analysis and insights on campaigns.

Erin Lanahan of Twin Point Insights is designing and leading this initiative in partnership with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.

  • Thanks to our generous sponsors, this series is completely free for participants. Additionally, participants will be eligible for the full final survey report (an $895 value).

  • We've worked hard to reduce the burden on participants while gathering the data you'll find most valuable.

The series is split into five shorter surveys, spaced out over several months. (There is no survey in December.)

While survey length may vary, our first survey has taken participants about 14 to 17 minutes to complete.

You are not obligated to complete every survey, though you will find the experience more beneficial if you do -- and you'll contribute to a powerful base of knowledge for our field.

  • Your organization is eligible to participate if:

    • You support a nonprofit healthcare organization (ex: hospital, health system, hospice, LTAC, behavioral health facility, or other provider)

    • Your organization is currently in campaign (planning, silent, or public phase) or has completed a campaign in the last five years.

We welcome healthcare organizations from non-U.S. countries. Indeed, we are thrilled to have particularly strong representation from Canadian foundations!

  • We'll share data and analysis in two distinct report types.

Executive Insight Report: Four to six weeks after each survey closes, we'll publish a short report with data highlights and provocative questions.

Final Series Report: At the end of the series, we'll publish a comprehensive analysis covering many aspects of campaigns. This will include a deeper dive on trends at the cohort level.

  • This survey series uniquely collects data from a wide range of healthcare organizations -- large national health systems, small community hospitals, academic medical centers, children's hospitals, cancer centers, behavioral health facilities, and more.

As of September 30th, we have 195 individuals registered from 165 unique institutions -- and counting.

To support data confidentiality, we will only report out on cohorts with a minimum of five institutions. No individual-level data will be shared outside of the analytical team.

  • Yes! The series will culminate with a major virtual session and a discussion of how to leverage this data to shape campaign strategy.

At participant request, we're also working on a few informal sessions throughout the series to promote connection.
