Rural hospitals and philanthropy

Philanthropy matters to rural hospitals more than ever. Our institutions are relying on us to raise critical money to sustain clinical care, meet community needs, and reimagine facilities.

Our research draws on interviews with rural philanthropy leaders as well as literature analysis. In this brand-new white paper, we provide an overview of the current rural healthcare landscape and offer guidance on four keys to development success:

  • System integration

  • Creative staffing strategies

  • Personal prospect pool development

  • Compelling funding priorities
